Alternative Mammalian Phylogeny

The phylogeny below, proposed by Arneson, et al. on the basis of multiple mitochodrial protein-coding genes, includes some interesting revisions. Note that the rabbits have been shifted from the Euarchontoglires to a position near the tree shrews (tupaias), with which they form a sister group to the Afrotheria, and the flying lemurs (Dermaptera) are now nested within the primates!
